Q:1 What the hell is a kettlebell?

It is a weight in the shape of a bowling ball with a handle. Their unique shape allows you to do explosive, powerful exercises that give you a strength and cardio workout at the same time. That saves you time. Plus, kettlebell exercises use the entire body as one unit to improve your body's overall mobility and strength, as opposed to traditional weight=lifting that isolates muscles and makes your body stiff and constricted. Almost anyone can use them as they are made in a range of sizes from under 10 pounds to over 100.

Q:2 Why does Charlie train exclusively with kettlebells?

Charlie wants to bring people an exercise that they won't ever want to stop doing. With kettlebells, you get results because the explosive movements increase your body's metabolism for a long time after the actual workout. Plus, the movements feel good because they mimic how the body was naturally designed to move. So if you get results and your body feels good doing it, you won't want to stop!

Q:3 Are kettlebells really enough to get me in shape?

Charlie thinks so! His sessions are varied and complete cardio and strength workouts. There are dozens and dozens of different kettlebell exercises that constantly challenge the body. But really, there's only one way for you to find out. Do the FREE Kettlebody Teaser and feel it for yourself! Visit the Kettlebody Online Schedule to book your Teaser.

Q:4 Will training with kettlebells hurt my back or my knees?

No, it shouldn't. Charlie's job is to make sure that you perform the movements with proper form so as not to injure yourself in any way. Safety is his number one priority. In fact, kettlebell training is great for strengthening the back and knees to prevent injury. Check out Debbie's testimonial and see how it helped her back. That said, if you have a previous injury or issue with your back, neck, shoulder, knees, or any other body part, you must get evaluated by a medical professional before working out with him.

Q:5 Can I train with kettlebells if I am over 50?

Yes, and you should if you have no previous injury (see above)! The kettlebell lifts help to keep your joints loose and young because they use a wide range of motion. Also, working with these weights will increase bone density which is a big concern after 50.

Q:6 What forms of payment does Charlie accept?

Cash, Check, Money Order, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Paypal.

Q:7 Where does Charlie do his training?

Charlie has a private studio in Hillcrest within Herbin Acupuncture & Wellness, a wellness center behind the Jean-Claude Salon. The address is 3594 Fifth Ave, but the entrance and free off-street parking is on Brookes between 5th and 4th.

Q:8 When are your bootcamps?

There are no more Kettlebody Bootcamps. At this time, there is only personal and PAIRsonal training.
