Kettlebody Tip #46: Love your love handles

I was just watching Olympic swimming and noticed something exciting!

Michael Phelps has love handles.

He, with the hottest and most talked about body in Beijing right now, has love handles.

Michael Phelps

And I do, too.

So what?

Well, if you are lucky enough to have love handles, you can take your shirt off, look in the mirror and be proud to be among Michael and me in this very elite circle.

Here are two related things to think about:

1. What you do is sexier than what your body looks like. Michael Phelps is not the finest specimen to ever don a Speedo. Yeah, he looks good, but what is really sexy about him is that he is such a successful and passionate athlete.  Wouldn’t you rather focus on being successful and passionate in your life than on feeling bad about a part of your body?

2. You can minimize the visual effect of love handles by changing your wardrobe. Ditch the wife-beaters, board shorts, and box-cut swimsuits. Instead favor slightly loose-fitting tops and low-cut speedos and shorts.

Life is too short for body hatred! Love those handles today!

I’m pretty sure those aren’t love handles. Maybe they’re some muscle the rest of the population is unable to develop. But definitely not love handles.

Great websight & insite Charlie! I just read this and you’re so right on. His love handles are smaller due to physique and career, but I still see them. My are a little bigger for the same reason. :)

Nice Job!
