I'm really surprised at how hard the workout is...
I can eat just about whatever I want...
Before working out with Charlie, I didn't really have a lot of energy...
Before kettlebells, I felt very sluggish, heavy on my feet...
He always pushes me just a little bit more...
I was just getting bored with weight training and yoga...
I absolutely love it, I'm addicted...
I lost about 20 pounds and 4 inches off my waist...
It's the greatest thing I've ever done...
Charlie is a nice guy, but he's not easy...
I've lost over 60 pounds...
I have been doing kettlebell training with Charlie for over a year now! It has been an incredible experience and I've lost over 60 pounds since working with Charlie. Not only have I lost weight, but I have more muscle and definition, and I feel great!
I've always had back issues and I was fearful that kettlebell would stress my back too much. It was quite the opposite, the training has strengthened my core and helped improve my back significantly!
I was originally a skeptic of personal training and not sure what kettlebell really had to offer, but I am so glad I met Charlie and got introduced to the wonderful gem that is the kettlebell! Charlie is so easy to work with and he is such a motivator! There have been plenty of times I have doubted my ability to do something and Charlie will always encourage you to try. He works with me on my form and technique, but never makes me feel bad while I am learning to get it!
He is so enthusiastic and he makes the workouts fun and exciting, I love his music selection, too! Charlie and kettlebell have honestly changed my life. I can't even imagine wanting to do anything else or anyone better to train me! I highly encourage anyone wanting to improve their fitness and health to get out of the gym and get into kettlebell! You won't regret it and Charlie is the person to get you there!

I'm never bored...
I've been training with Charlie for about six or eight weeks. What I love about the workout is I'm never bored. What I hate about the workout is I'm never bored, and I'm sweating like a pig afterwards. The kettlebells...they are hard! But you adapt very quickly because you don't want to hurt yourself.
I came in with a goal to fit into my boots. And I fit into my boots! I heard about Charlie from my friend who was wearing one of his t-shirts. I thought, "Ooh I wanna try kettlebells. It seems nice and easy and lazy..." and it's not! I work out for a half-hour on Mondays and Thursdays. I'm hurting on the days I don't work out with him. I have a lot of fun, and I suggest you do it, too.

After just a few weeks, I had the best abs in my life...
I've completed several camps with Charlie and if you are looking for a way to workout, have fun and get great abs from only 3 workouts a week, Charlie is your man. I am a runner and have probably been doing crunches and crunch-like exercises for almost 10 years, but after just a few weeks of kettlebells with Charlie, I had the best abs in my life. Seriously- like you can feel the muscles. It is awesome! Not only that, my whole body just felt tone and strong.
Runners, this is an awesome cross training that builds muscle through power exercises. I think it would complement any training program, from the marathon to the 5 K to the I-jog-twice-a-week program. Also Charlie is a fantastic trainer who appreciates his clients and makes sure it is fun while kicking your ass. Try it out- you might just get hooked.

I have been a couch potato for years...
Okay, so I have been a couch potato for years. I got married a bit over a year ago and have been happy and eating ever since. Then my friend in NV told me that she had been doing kettlebell workouts. I had no idea what a kettlebell was and decided to look into it. Being a yelper, I came across Charlie and kettlebody.com.
I met Charlie 2 months ago now and felt very comfortable with him and so I signed up for 2 months. My time just ran out and now I am going to double the amount of my sessions because as brutal as his workouts may be ( what I need) I love these workouts and Charlie is not only a nice guy, he is a great trainer. Do yourself a favor do the first time workout with Charlie and you will be hooked. I am!

Kettlebody got me into great shape...
Wedding season was fast approaching, so I joined a 4-week Kettlebody class to kick my body into action. Though I've never worked out in the mornings before, I decided to take the 6:30am course - it was definitely the right decision. I am usually sleeping at 6:30am - whereas an infinite number of things always seem to pop up at the end of the day: have to stay late at work, happy hours, errands... but I knew I'd never need to miss a 6:30am class. It gave me a great sense of accomplishment to know that I'd already completed an important task (working out) and it was only 7:30am!
Working out 3 days a week (M/W/F) for four weeks also kicked me into a workout routine and I found myself working out on my own over the weekends. Taking a class was a sure way to create a habit. Finally, and most importantly, Kettlebody got me into great shape. This class is not a typical bootcamp (no one is yelling at you; nothing aggressive) but I was so out-of-shape that I felt sick and dizzy at the first class. By the end of the four-weeks, I could complete every class, I felt stronger and I had much more energy. I'm very happy that I decided to train for a month with Charlie!

I have had my butt kicked every time...
I've been working out with Charlie for almost 5 months now and I can't believe that 1) I'm sticking with it and 2) how much stronger I am. I've done both individual training sessions and group classes with Kettlebody, and I have had my butt kicked every time.
I've never liked weight training, but kettlebells are actually fun. And confidence building -- I've been swinging weights I would never, ever have touched otherwise. Because of the way you use your ENTIRE body to move these weights, my overall, full body strength has increased so much.
Charlie is engaging and he knows his stuff. He always seems to know how to modify exercises for specific people and when to push people deeper. No offense to the world of trainers out there, but sometimes I've worked with people who I was convinced simply had gone online and gotten a certificate. Not so with Charlie -- he has the 'know how', experience and energy to work you out hard and thoroughly AND help you meet your goals (whatever -- strength, muscles, weight loss...). Highly recommend Kettlebody!!

By the end of week two, I was hooked...
I am not a morning person by any means so I had some reservations about signing up for a 6:30 am class. Charlie's training came highly recommended from two of my good friends who'd already taken his classes. After the first class I was exhausted and dizzy realizing I was incredibly out of shape. By the end of week two I was hooked though. My energy went through the roof and my clothes started fitting better.
I had never worked out with kettlebells before so I did not know what to expect. It was a great sense of accomplishment going from being so out of shape to swinging the heaviest 45 pound bell by the middle of my second bootcamp series. Charlie is a fun and motivating trainer who will push you to your limits...before you've had your morning coffee.
You will be tired, sore, and sweat your butt off but it is worth every penny. The small size of the bootcamps makes it feel like a personal training for a fraction of the cost. I would recommend his training to anyone who is looking for a quick and fun way to get in shape.

I get compliments all the time...
I can't say enough good things about this class. It is really kicking my butt. I have been running since January and around April hit a Plateau and even ran a marathon and never broke that plateau. Until this month when I happened to see an ad for Charlie and Kettle Ball right by my house. I grabbed the tag and mentioned it to my wife. One night I come home and surprise my wife had signed me up. Now I am losing weight again and gaining muscle. I get compliments all the time so its definitley working.
I take the 5:30 class so that I can squeeze it into my day. The class has a maximum of six people and ours is only three at the moment. For Charlie I hope the class starts to get more full but its nice having only two other people in the class. It is practically personal training. Charlie has lots of different bells and will get you the right weight you need. He went and got me a heavier bell. Awesome!!!!
I would definitley recommend this to absolutely anyone from beginner to advanced. It is such a great workout and makes you feel so good. Also he offers such a wide variety of classes that I am sure you could fit it into your schedule. There is personal training too.

You will burn in places you didn't think were possible...
I consider myself in pretty decent shape but thanks to Kettlebody I have a new fitness goal - overall strength! I was very recently in San Diego for a work trip, and wanted a way to jumpstart my boring day at a conference. I had heard about Kettlebody, com and had heard all the hype about kettlebells from celebrities, so I wanted to experience it myself. I am a runner but I am in need of a more total body workout.
I took two classes with Charlie, and let me just say that I am a believer in kettlebells. They work every major muscle group, including your core! You will burn in places you didn't think were possible -- but in a good way. I felt so good after my workout I didn't want it to end! I wish that Kettlebody would expand nationwide I loved it so much!
But just don't think he'll have you standing there lifting the kettlebell (doing "snatches.") You will do push-ups, sit-ups, jump-roping, burpees, and any number of high-velocity workout routines which provide an outstanding variety. Even with the kettlebells, you can do a number of different moves.
That's part of my problem -- I get bored easily with ellipticals, boring weights, etc. Kettlebells change it up, and make it fun, and with each lift you are not just isolating one muscle, but MANY! For busy people, this is a way to optimize your workout.
I would say that Kettlebody is for all skill levels, as each exercise may be modified. If you would like major results, and an exciting change-up to your current workout routine, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Kettlebody. Also, Charlie is engaging, has GREAT music, and is just very motivational, pushing you to go harder. What an awesome experience! I believe!!!

Charlie quite literally kicks ass...
I completely found out about kettlebells and more specifically, Charlie, by accident. I was looking for something to help me bust through a plateau and had read about the awesome workout called kettlebells over the internet, mostly that it was something that would kick your ass. And lo and behold just as I'm taking a walk with my boyfriend around our neighborhood and I'm kvetching to him about my plateau, I see a flyer for Charlie's services.
Boy am I glad that I did. Charlie quite literally kicks ass; in the 2 weeks that I've been taking his classes for only 2 days have my muscles NOT been sore. Oh my goodness last week, the man literally had me limping at work and my calves, thighs and butt just didn't want to move; my boss kept on laughing at me because it'd take me FOREVER to get down the hall. After a weekend full of ben-gay, ice, and several massages was I able to hobble into my Monday morning workout, still a lil sore but energized.
Kettlebells is an amazing workout, but Charlie mixes it up and keeps it interesting by always introducing new exercises. One day its circuits, another day its interval training with kettlebells and jump rope, and next day you're working out on the jungle gym. He also keeps you motivated by being super nice (but not annoyingly so), with good music, and by encouraging you to bump up your intensity, keep good form, and increase your weight. He's very patient too and is so nice when he has corrections for you.
All of his boot camp workouts are super early, I go to the 5:30AM class so I can get ready for work but I always do feel better about the rest of the day. The boot camp is currently at the Trolley Park at Adams and Park and I love that its outdoors so you can see the sunrise. It's definitely pricey, more than the gym but less than a personal trainer. So worth it though, I can completely see the difference because I can finally fit into my skinny jeans! Check out his blog. It has great tips and tricks too plus its funny!
If you're not happy with your body or just looking to try something new, he'll kick your bitch-ass into shape! And you'll love him every minute of it.

Was so excited that my BF joined up with me...
Almost at the end of my first training camp with Charlie and I feel great! I was a little hesitant to do this only because I have some physical limitations because of an accident (watch out for those damn city buses they'll wreck you) ..that is another story.
I explained my injuries to Charlie and he as completely worked with me and has helped me get stronger without exasperating my boo-boo's!! He is fun and up-beat and will make you drip sweat!!
After my first class with Charlie I went home and was SO excited that my BF joined up with me! In fact last night he actually thanked me for introducing him to Kettlebells and Charlie!
Thanks Charlie we can't wait for the next camp!

His personality and positive attitude are contagious...
I met Charlie, a personal trainer certified in Russian Kettlebell Training (RKC) entirely by accident. But my muscles, sore and singing, are entirely grateful to him.
Charlie's training is personalized to my needs. His personality and positive attitude are contagious, and just what I need to get motivated for a workout. If you have never seen a kettle-bell - I never had! - it is a rounded metal weight with a handle that you can use to work out your entire body.
After 3 sessions with Charlie, I feel a) like my ass has been kicked (in a good way), b) stronger, and c) dumb for ever going to a place like 24 hour fitness. One of Charlie's best qualities is that he is quick to assess your personal strengths and weaknesses, and never pushes me harder than I can go.
Prices are about what you'd normally pay to have a personal trainer come to your home. For me, this investment is 100% worth it. Charlie even works out with couples, and I was impressed to see that he was able to challenge both myself and my boyfriend during a tandem workout. I hadn't been to the gym in a while, but Charlie was able to tailor the workout to my (lame) level; he was simultaneously able to challenge my boyfriend, who is a gym rat who works out daily. I will continue kettle-belling for as long as Charlie has time slots available!
